"Secure, but a little confusing"
It feels secure enough, which I appreciate, but I would not say it is very clear or easy to follow. I had to spend a bit more time than expected figuring things out...

"Actually Useful Docs for Once"
I was setting up Mountain Duck and, the documentation came through. Like, shockingly, it wasn’t buried under a million unnecessary explanations or random tech jargon just to make things harder. It was mostly clear steps, with screenshots where they actually helped, which is all I wanted in the first place. I had a connection issue and found the answer quickly instead of spending half my afternoon digging through forums. Some of the pages look a little plain, sure, but honestly? I’ll take plain and readable over flashy and useless any day. Overall, really solid docs and they saved me a bunch of time

"I’ve been using Mountain Duck for a few…"
I’ve been using Mountain Duck for a few months now and it’s been really reliable, the connection almost never drops even when I’m working with bigger folders and moving stuff around, I did have one small disconnect at one point but it reconnected on its own and kept going so it wasn’t really a big deal. Overall I’m happy with it.

"Not a Fan of the Menus"
The menus were confusing and just didn’t look great. I had a hard time figuring out where things were, and the overall design felt kind of messy

"The drive mounts fine most days, but every…"
The drive mounts fine most days, but every now and then it just disappears after my computer wakes from sleep, which is annoying. I reached out hoping to get some guidance, but there was no follow-up at all, so I’m kind of left dealing with it myself

"Honestly, Mountain Duck Saved Me a Whole Headache"
I had Mountain Duck up and running in just a few minutes, which felt like a tiny miracle. I downloaded it, put in my server details, and suddenly it appeared like a regular drive on my computer. No endless fiddling, no dramatic tech battle, no spiraling into confusion. I’m not super technical, so I really appreciated how straightforward the setup was. I’ve been using it since, and so far it’s been smooth sailing with no real issues...

"Works Okay, Just Not Always Smooth"
Mountain Duck works fine for everyday stuff, and I can’t say it doesn’t do the job there. But when I’m dealing with bigger files, it’s kind of hit or miss. Sometimes uploads slow way down or I have to restart them, which gets annoying. It isn’t unusable or nothing, but it’s not as smooth as I was hoping it’d be.

"Steady sync for work folders"
I’ve been using Mountain Duck for my work folders, it’s been really steady. Nice. Changes show up where I expect them to, and so far I haven’t run into any weird missing files. Solid. Happy with it overall.

"I use Mountain Duck on my…"
I use Mountain Duck on my Mac laptop and my Windows desktop, and for the most part it gets the job done. I do like that the setup feels similar on both systems, so I’m not stuck relearning everything every time I switch computers. But it doesn’t always feel like the Windows experience gets the same attention. Sometimes it’s slower or behaves differently with the exact same server, which can be frustrating when I’m just trying to keep my workflow moving. It’s not bad enough to make me stop using it, but it does leave me feeling a bit ignored as a Windows user. Overall, it’s good enough, but I really wish it felt more consistent across both machines.

"Helpful error messages, mostly"
I like that Mountain Duck actually shows an error when a connection doesn’t work, and most of the time it gives me a decent idea of what went wrong. I did have to retry once or twice where I wasn’t totally sure why it failed in the first place, so… not perfect. But it’s still way better than just sitting there guessing. 4 stars from me.

"Fair price, but I expected a bit more"
I picked up Mountain Duck mainly because the price seemed reasonable compared to a few other tools I was looking at. I also appreciated that the license terms were simple and didn’t feel like some sneaky subscription trap, which is a relief these days.

Setup was quick, and the license activated without any drama, so that part was great. I do like being able to pay once and just get back to work, but I’ll admit I was a little disappointed overall because it felt more basic than I expected. Still, it does what I need, and the clear pricing made it worth it for me.

"SFTP and WebDAV just worked"
I mainly needed SFTP and WebDAV to work without turning into a setup project, and that’s pretty much what happened. I connected both, moved files around, and didn’t run into much friction. Nothing flashy, but from my experience it did what I needed with very little fuss.

"So... I had some trouble getting the login..."
So... I had some trouble getting the login authentication set up. Support did get back to me, but it took a little while, and I still had to figure out a few parts on my own. It wasn’t terrible, just not as smooth as I hoped.

"The updates generally work fine for me…"
The updates generally work fine for me, and I haven’t had any major issues. To be fair, there are occasional hiccups here and there, but nothing that’s made the experience a dealbreaker. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to, with just a little room for improvement

"Offline access was good, but support felt absent"
My files were still available offline, which was really helpful. I did run into one small sync hiccup, though, and when I tried to figure it out, I kind of felt ignored. It wasn’t a huge issue in the end, but it would’ve been nice to feel like someone was actually paying attention

"The cache issues made it unusable"
I really wanted this to work, but the caching was a mess for me. Files would take forever to appear, and a few times it seemed to download the same things again like it had no memory of doing it already. I messed with the settings hoping I could fix it, but it still kept hanging or briefly freezing Finder. For a paid app, I think the developers need to take responsibility for getting something this basic right. I gave it about a week, then stopped using it.

"I use Mountain Duck on both…"
I use Mountain Duck on both my Mac and Windows machines, and I really like that it shows up right in Finder and Explorer just like a regular drive. It makes working with remote files feel natural. Reconnecting can be a little slow at times, which is slightly annoying, but it hasn’t been a dealbreaker for me. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid tool and I’m happy to keep using it.

"Easy enough to get going"
Setup was simple and I had my drives connected quick. A couple menus took a minute to figure out, but it works fine.

"File transfers were way too slow"
I tried using this for a file transfer, and it took forever. I even kept checking my email for the receipt/confirmation thinking maybe something was stuck or delayed, but it was just painfully slow. Not something I’d use again.

"Works fine, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price"
It works like it’s supposed to, so no real complaints there. I just can’t help feeling like the price is a bit high for what you get. I was worried I’d end up regretting spending that much, and while it hasn’t been a waste, I’m not totally convinced I got the best value either.
